N,N-bis(Hydroxyethyl)-2-aminoethanesulfonic acid sodium salt can be used as a cross-linking agent in the manufacture of biodegradable polymers that are environmentally friendly and biocompatible. The viscosity of the reaction solution increases with an increase in temperature, which is due to the hydrophobic interaction between molecules.
