Produktinformation
- 2H-Pyran, 4-bromotetrahydro-
- 4-Bromooxane
- 4-Bromo-Tetrahydropyran
4-Bromotetrahydropyran is the alkylating agent of choice for the treatment of cancer. It can be used to inhibit tumor growth by modifying DNA, thus inhibiting transcription and translation. The bromodomain of 4-bromotetrahydropyran has been shown to coordinate with zinc ions and has a stereogenic center. This leads to synergistic effects when combined with other therapeutic agents such as alkylating agents or topoisomerase inhibitors.
