Benzenepropanoic acid is a chemical compound that has been shown to be an inhibitor of the receptor binding of integrin. It is used in biological treatment and as a diagnostic aid for bowel disease. Benzenepropanoic acid binds to the hydroxyl group on the integrin receptor, which leads to inhibition of growth and cell proliferation.
