Beschreibung

Bis(4-hydroxyphenyl) sulfone is a bisphenol derivative that is used as an analytical agent in wastewater treatment and as a human serum substitute in the laboratory. It has been shown to affect mitochondrial membrane potential and mitochondrial function. Bis(4-hydroxyphenyl) sulfone can also prevent the development of high resistance to antibiotics by blocking the binding of antibiotic molecules to their target sites on bacterial cells. This helps to combat drug resistance in bacteria, which can be caused by a matrix effect.
