Beschreibung

3,5-Bis(trifluoromethyl)benzyl amine is a specific antibody that binds to the protein CD14. CD14 is an important protein in the activation of leukocytes and macrophages and is found on cell membranes. 3,5-Bis(trifluoromethyl)benzyl amine can be used as a coating for medical devices or as a photoelectron blocking agent during electron microscopy. 3,5-Bis(trifluoromethyl)benzyl amine has been shown to bind to membrane proteins in a similar manner to fatty acids, thereby inhibiting their function. This antibody also blocks the activity of enzymes such as caspases, which are involved in apoptosis (programmed cell death).
