Beschreibung:
7-Bromo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline is a tertiary amine that can be synthesized by lithiation of 7-bromoindole followed by reductive amination with formaldehyde. The tert-butyl group is then introduced through formylation and the nitrogen atom is reduced to an amine. 7-Bromo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline has been shown to have antihistamine properties when it binds to the H1 receptor in the central nervous system.
