Beschreibung

Biotin-PEG2-NHS is a molecule that has been designed to target cancer cells by binding to the microenvironment of these cells. Biotin-PEG2-NHS binds to the surface of cancer cells and inhibits cell proliferation, leading to apoptosis of cancer cells. Biotin-PEG2-NHS also prevents autophagy and promotes cell death in cancer stem cells. The molecule was synthesized by reacting biotin with PEG2-NHS, which has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mice. Microenvironmental analysis showed that the molecule targets gene transcripts associated with cancer stem cells, including speckle and diagnostic transcripts. This molecule can be used for diagnostic purposes or as a therapeutic agent against cancers such as colorectal carcinoma, pancreatic carcinoma, breast carcinoma, and prostate carcinoma.
