Beschreibung

Bromochlorodifluoromethane is a reactive molecule that reacts with water vapor in the atmosphere to form bromine and difluoroacetic acid. Bromochlorodifluoromethane is emitted from industrial operations, automobile exhausts, and other sources. Bromochlorodifluoromethane can react with other molecules in the atmosphere to form bromine radicals, which lead to the depletion of ozone. Bromochlorodifluoromethane has been shown to have cardiac effects in animals such as ventricular myocardium hypertrophy and cardiomyopathy. Bromochlorodifluoromethane is used for specific treatment of chlorine-induced asthma attacks.
