Beschreibung

3,6-Bis(Trifluoromethyl)phenanthren-9-yl]-piperidin-2-ylmethanol is an antimalarial drug that belongs to the quassinoid class of drugs. It has a high therapeutic index and a low toxicity profile. 3,6-Bis(Trifluoromethyl)phenanthren-9-yl]-piperidin-2-ylmethanol inhibits the growth of malaria parasites by inhibiting the uptake of red blood cells into the parasite's vacuole. This drug is used at doses of 10mg per day for adults and 5mg per day for children.
The recommended dose is usually 10 mg once daily for adults, with a maximum dose of 20 mg per day. For children, the recommended dose is 5 mg once daily, with a maximum dose of 10 mg per day. The drug should be taken with food or milk to reduce stomach irritation and
