1-(Benzylmethylamino)-3-(alpha,alpha,alpha-Trifluoro-3-Tolyl)Oxy-2-Propanol is a potential contactor for chronic kidney disease. It has been shown to have cytotoxic effects on human colorectal adenocarcinoma cells. 1-(Benzylmethylamino)-3-(alpha,alpha,alpha-Trifluoro-3-Tolyl)Oxy-2-Propanol is also a potential treatment for autoimmune diseases and cancer. 1-(Benzylmethylamino)-3-(alpha,alpha,alpha-Trifluoro-3-Tolyl)Oxy-2-Propanol's mechanism of action is not fully understood but it may be due to its ability to alter the function of the cellular membrane. This drug also has been shown to have antiinflammatory properties.
