Beschreibung

1-Ethynylcyclohexylamine is a chemical substance that belongs to the class of amines. It is an intermediate in the synthesis of other substances and can be obtained by refluxing 1-amino-2-vinylketones with ethynylcyclohexane. The reaction requires a nucleophilic agent, such as phenacyl chloride, which reacts with the vinyl ethers to form an acyl chloride. This product can be hydrolyzed to form 1-ethynylcyclohexylamine. The chemical transformation is catalyzed by palladium on charcoal or platinum oxide in the presence of iodine or bromine. 1-Ethynylcyclohexylamine can also be synthesized from pyrrole, iodides, and chloromethane in a one pot reaction at elevated temperature and pressure. The product can exist as two isomers: cis and trans (cis being more stable).
