Beschreibung

2-Chloromethylpyridine HCl is a fluorescence probe that can be used to detect metabolic disorders in wastewater treatment. It has been shown to have cox-2 inhibitory activity and was found to cause an increase in the production of nitric oxide, which is important in regulating blood pressure and vascular tone. 2-Chloromethylpyridine HCl also has the ability to chelate metal ions and natural compounds, such as iron and copper. This compound also has antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties that are related to its ability to bind with the DNA of these cells. 2-Chloromethylpyridine HCl has been shown to be effective against infectious diseases such as herpes viruses, HIV, bacteria, fungi, and protozoa.
