Beschreibung

1,3-Cyclohexadiene is a molecule that serves as a model system for studying the chemical reactions of cyclic hydrocarbons. It has been used in studies of the photoelectron distribution, flow system and uv absorption. FTIR spectroscopy was used to study the titration calorimetry and dehydration reactions. Kinetic data was obtained by reaction with deuterium isotopes and activation energies were determined by kinetic methods. 1,3-Cyclohexadiene undergoes transfer reactions with other compounds such as phenylacetylene and benzaldehyde. A kinetic mechanism has been proposed for the reaction between 1,3-cyclohexadiene and benzaldehyde in which two steps are involved: an initial electron transfer from one molecule to another followed by a hydrogen atom transfer from one molecule to another.
