Beschreibung

2-Chloro-2,2-difluoroacetic acid is an organic compound that is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals. It is also a precursor to trifluoroacetic acid (TFA). TFA is used in analytical chemistry as an acidity indicator and as a reagent for the conversion of alcohols to alkyl chlorides. 2-Chloro-2,2-difluoroacetic acid has been shown to induce liver lesions in experimental models. In humans, it has been shown to be associated with congestive heart failure and water vapor inhalation. 2-Chloro-2,2-difluoroacetic acid inhibits the activity of enzymes such as epidermal growth factor and hydrogen fluoride, which are related to cell proliferation.
