Beschreibung:
2-Chloro-N-(2,4-dimethylphenyl)acetamide is a conformationally restricted analog of acetanilide. It has been shown to form hydrogen bonds with the amino and carboxyl groups of the enzyme, thereby preventing access to the active site. 2-Chloro-N-(2,4-dimethylphenyl)acetamide also inhibits bacterial growth by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria. This effect may be due to its ability to inhibit the action of bacterial enzymes such as acetylcholinesterase, phosphodiesterase, and dioxygenases.
