Cyclohexylpyrrolidine is a drug that has been shown to be effective against cardiovascular disorders, such as hypertension and arrhythmia. It inhibits the synthesis of thromboxane A2 by competitively inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase. Cyclohexylpyrrolidine also binds to and inhibits the activity of sodium formate dehydrogenase, an enzyme involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins. Cyclohexylpyrrolidine has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. The carbon nanotubes are used as a drug target for cyclohexylpyrrolidine and have been shown to have a surface active agent effect on human platelets, which may be related to their ability to inhibit platelet aggregation. This drug has also been shown to inhibit alopecia areata (hair loss) in mice through inhibition of hair growth.
