• Beschreibung: 1-Cyclopropylpiperidin-4-one is a prodrug that is converted to 1-cyclopropylpiperidin-4-ol in vivo. It has been shown to be effective against acute lung injury by inhibiting the production of inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α). The deuterium isotope effect on protonation and amine reactivity has been investigated using aldehydes and an allylamine. This analog has also shown functionalities for enzyme preparations, which may be due to its ability to bind with proteins containing functional groups such as thiols, hydroxides, carboxylic acids, or alcohols.
