Beschreibung

2-Carbamoylphenylboronic acid is a linker that is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and other organic compounds. It can be used as a substitute for the more expensive 2-aminophenylboronic acid. This compound may be useful in the design of new anticancer drugs, which target tyrosine kinase and growth factor receptor. The intramolecular hydrogen bond between carbonyl oxygen and boron is responsible for this compound's stability. It can also form hydrogen bonds with other molecules, such as epidermal growth factor (EGF).
2-Carbamoylphenylboronic acid has been modified to create derivatives with substitutions at positions R1 and R2 on the phenyl ring. This modification was done to increase its solubility in water and its reactivity towards biomolecules, such as EGF.
