Beschreibung:Chloroprocaine hydrochloride is a local anesthetic that is used in epidural and spinal anesthesia. It is the salt of chloroprocaine and hydrochloric acid. Chloroprocaine HCl binds to the sodium channel in nerve membranes, thereby inhibiting conduction of nerve impulses. It has been shown to be biocompatible with maternal blood, has a phase transition temperature close to body temperature, and does not dissolve in water. The drug has been shown to have minimal interactions with other drugs (e.g., analgesics), and it can be given safely to patients with liver impairment.br>Chloroprocaine HCl is not recommended for use in patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding because it may cause harm to the fetus or newborn baby.
