Beschreibung:
6-Chloro-2-iodopyridin-3-ol is a potent and selective inhibitor of indoleamine 2,3 dioxygenase (IDO), an enzyme that catalyzes the first step in the degradation of tryptophan. 6CIOD inhibits IDO activity in vitro with a Ki value of 0.0005 μM. This compound has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in vivo, reducing adjuvant arthritis in rats when given prophylactically or therapeutically at doses of 1 mg/kg.
