Beschreibung:
2-Chloro-6-hydroxybenzonitrile (2CHB) is an antimicrobial that inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to a site on the bacterial ribosome and preventing protein synthesis. 2CHB has been shown to be active against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). It is also being investigated as a potential antibiotic for use in combination therapy with antibiotics. 2CHB binds to the calcium-sensing receptor, which may lead to new strategies in combating MRSA infections.
