Beschreibung

Chloropyramine is a tricyclic antidepressant drug that is used to treat bowel disease. It has been shown to have agonist binding site activity, which may be due to its ability to increase the release of acetylcholine in the central nervous system. Chloropyramine has been shown to increase diastolic pressure and heart rate, as well as cause an increase in serum calcium levels. This drug also causes locomotor activity and changes in behavior in mice. Chloropyramine is used as a pharmacological agent for autoimmune diseases or infectious diseases, such as HIV and malaria. It was also found to be an effective model system for studying these diseases.
