Beschreibung:3-Carboxyphenylthiourea (3CPTU) is a drug that inhibits tyrosine kinase, and is a potential therapeutic for chronic myeloid leukemia. 3CPTU has been shown to inhibit the bcr-abl protein in chronic myeloid leukemia cells, which leads to cell death. This drug also has excellent adsorption properties and can be used as an adsorbent material to remove organic pollutants from wastewater. 3CPTU can be recycled by washing with water and regenerating it with a strong base. This process can be repeated up to 10 times without any significant loss of adsorption capacity. The equilibrium constants are dependent on the pH of the solution and temperature, so the adsorption mechanism changes with pH and temperature.
