• Beschreibung: Cinanserin is a 5-HT receptor agonist that blocks the effects of serotonin in the central nervous system. It has been shown to have an effect on locomotor activity in vivo and to increase lymphocyte transformation in vitro. Cinanserin also inhibits fatty acid synthesis, which may account for its anti-carcinoid properties, and it has been found to act as a coumarin derivative. This drug binds with high affinity to 5-HT2 receptors, inhibiting viral life by blocking activation of the transcription factor NF-kappaB. Cinanserin also inhibits signal pathways such as MAPK and PI3K/AKT, which are involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis.
