• Beschreibung: N2-Cbz-L-homoglutamine is a dehydration agent that is used in the synthesis of peptides and proteins. It eliminates the need for anhydrous conditions, and also eliminates side reactions with carboxamide groups. The by-products of this reaction are N2-(4-nitrophenyl)carboxamide and dicyclohexylurea. Nitriles are eliminated in this process. This reaction has been shown to be advantageous over other methods such as coupling with dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC).
