Beschreibung:Cephalomannine is a diterpenoid alkaloid product, which is derived from the needles of the Taxus species, commonly known as yew trees. It is structurally similar to paclitaxel (Taxol), a well-known chemotherapeutic agent. The mode of action of cephalomannine involves binding to the β-subunit of tubulin, thereby promoting the polymerization of tubulin into stable microtubules while simultaneously inhibiting their depolymerization. This stabilization of the microtubule network disrupts the normal process of cell division, effectively arresting cell mitosis, which leads to cell death.
