• Beschreibung: 2-Chloro-3',4'-dihydroxyacetophenone is a potent inhibitor of two enzymes that are involved in the synthesis of fatty acids: 3-ketoacyl-coenzyme A synthase and 3-hydroxyacyl-coenzyme A dehydrogenase. This inhibition leads to the accumulation of acetate and reduced levels of fatty acids, which are important for cell growth. 2-Chloro-3',4'-dihydroxyacetophenone has been shown to be effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and Serratia epidermidis. 2-Chloro-3',4'-dihydroxyacetophenone inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) by inhibiting lipid peroxidation in human liver cells and it has also been shown to have antiradical activity.
