Beschreibung

Cilastatin is a drug that has been used to protect against the toxic effects of imipenem, an antibiotic. Cilastatin is a chemical compound that inhibits the activity of enzymes in the cytoplasmic membrane and prevents them from functioning properly. It also protects against toxicity caused by glucose injection, laser ablation, and toxicological studies. Cilastatin has been shown to have antibacterial efficacy against a wide range of bacteria including MRSA and other Gram-positive bacteria. This drug is also used for treating infectious diseases such as salmonellosis and shigellosis.
