Beschreibung

Coenzyme Q8 is a quinone that is involved in the metabolism of fatty acids and the production of energy. It is synthesized from p-hydroxybenzoic acid by members of the genus Rhodobacter, which are classified as bacteria. Coenzyme Q8 has been shown to affect bacterial transcriptional regulation and prevent growth. It has been used extensively in vitro assays to study infectious diseases, such as antimicrobial agents and biochemical properties. Coenzyme Q8 also has a role in maintaining mitochondrial membrane potential, enzyme activities, and fetal bovine heart function.
