Beschreibung

Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is a polyunsaturated fatty acid that inhibits the activity of various enzymes. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9), an enzyme which degrades the extracellular matrix and is involved in inflammatory bowel disease. CLA also has been shown to reduce fat mass and increase energy expenditure in 3t3-L1 preadipocytes, which may be due to its ability to stimulate adipose tissue lipolysis. The physiological effects of CLA are related to its ability to regulate energy metabolism, as it stimulates glucose uptake through insulin signaling pathways, which may lead to reduced body weight.
