Beschreibung

(3-Chloro-2-hydroxypropyl)dodecyldimethylammoniumchloride is an amphoteric, conditionally stable surface active agent. It is a monolaurate that has been shown to react with sulfamic acid and chloride ion to form a stable complex. This compound also reacts with malic acid, which has led to its use as an active agent in some cosmetic products. (3-Chloro-2-hydroxypropyl)dodecyldimethylammoniumchloride has been used as an emulsifier in the production of personal care products such as shampoos, soaps, and detergents.
