Beschreibung

2-Chloropyridine N-oxide HCl is a chlorinated analog of pyridine. It has been shown to have oxidizing properties and can be used as a functional group in the synthesis of polypeptides, sodium salts, and techniques. 2-Chloropyridine N-oxide HCl can also be used as an intermediate in the conversion of paralogues to mesomers. The n-oxide form of this compound is more soluble than the parent compound and is thought to bind to proteins better. This drug is orally administered and expressed at high levels in the liver. It has been shown to act as a ligand for estrogen receptors and may inhibit the proliferation of breast cancer cells.
