Beschreibung

Crofelemer is an enteric-coated, non-systemic drug for the treatment of chronic diarrhea in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. It is a combination therapy group that contains Crofelemer and sodium citrate. Crofelemer has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis and regulation of the release of proinflammatory cytokines. Crofelemer also has an effect on physiological function by regulating fatty acid metabolism in the colon, thereby reducing abdominal pain and water vapor loss. This medication can be used as a control group for other drugs or as a combination therapy group with other drugs for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease.
