Beschreibung

3-Cyclopentylpropionic acid is a bioactive phytochemical that has been shown to inhibit the activity of enzymes target in human pathogens, such as HIV. 3-Cyclopentylpropionic acid binds to magnesium and blocks the binding site on the enzyme, inhibiting its function and preventing it from cleaving other molecules. This compound has also been shown to have benefits in autoimmune diseases, bowel disease, and metabolic disorders. 3-Cyclopentylpropionic acid is metabolized by bacteria in the gut into caproic acid and acetate extract.
