Beschreibung:2-(Chloromethyl)Quinoline HCl is a drug that inhibits the activity of the enzyme DNA polymerase, which is necessary for viral replication and transcription. The drug binds to the active site of the enzyme and prevents it from binding to DNA. 2-(Chloromethyl)Quinoline HCl has been shown to inhibit tumor cell growth and cause necrosis in cell cultures. There are also indications that this drug may be useful for treating cancer. 2-(Chloromethyl)Quinoline HCl is an aromatic hydrocarbon with a nitrogen atom at its center, with two alkanoic acid groups on each side of the central nitrogen atom, and one fatty acid group on each side of the central nitrogen atom. It is a β-amino acid that forms a heterocycle.
