Beschreibung:5-Cyanoisoquinoline is a quinoline derivative that is used as an intermediate in organic synthesis. It can be hydrolysed to benzyl chloride and benzyl cyanide, which are nucleophiles that can react with phenylmagnesium bromide to produce an adduct. The chloride and bromides can also react with the adduct to form the 5-cyanoisoquinoline chlorobenzene and bromobenzene adducts, respectively.
