Cyclo(-Gly-Ser) has been used in supramolecular chemistry, where it has been shown to self-assemble into cyclic structures with a lamellar morphology. This polymer also undergoes thermochromism and UV irradiation. Cyclo(-Gly-Ser) is soluble in methanol and exhibits non-covalent interactions with other molecules.
