Beschreibung:2-Chloro-N-(2-fluorophenyl)acetamide (2CPA), also known as activin receptor type IIB (ACTRIIB) antagonist, is an inhibitor of the mitogen activated protein kinase phosphorylation. It has been shown that 2CPA is a selective and potent inhibitor of activin A and activin B, while not inhibiting TGF-β. This drug binds to the ATP site in the activation loop of the kinase domain, preventing phosphorylation by ATP. 2CPA inhibits phosphorylation of both ActRIIA and ActRIIB receptors with IC50 values in the low nanomolar range.
