Beschreibung:
Chloro(1,3-dimesitylimidazol-2-ylidene)copper(I) is a tetrahydrofuran molecule with copper atoms in its structure. It has a pale yellow colour and is soluble in chloroform or glassware. Chloro(1,3-dimesitylimidazol-2-ylidene)copper(I) reacts with azides to form a carbonyl group and can be used for the preparation of acetone and hydroboration products. This compound also acts as an alkylation agent by reacting with chloride to form a yellow solid.
