Beschreibung

Carthamus Red is a natural compound that is extracted from the Carthamus tinctorius L. (safflower). It has been shown to have anti-diabetic effects in a rat model of diabetes mellitus. The compound has been shown to reduce postprandial blood glucose levels and increase insulin sensitivity in rats with type 2 diabetes by inhibiting the enzyme polymerase chain reaction. The extract also inhibited the activity of glycol ether, which is an important component of the cell membrane. Carthamus Red may be effective for reducing injury-induced natriuretic peptide levels, as well as for treating hypertension through its ability to inhibit angiotensin II and prostaglandin synthesis.
