It has been shown to inhibit lymphocyte transformation and to inhibit the growth of various types of cancer cells. 2-Cyclohexyl-5-phenyloxazole is also used as a sample preparation agent for chemical analysis. It has been found that 2-cyclohexyl-5-phenyloxazole can be used as a prognostic marker, with high values correlating with poorer prognoses. This compound has not been tested in animals or humans for nervous system diseases.
