This drug can also prevent the conversion of androgens into estrogens in target tissues, including breast tissue. As a result, this drug inhibits tumor growth by preventing the formation of new blood vessels needed for tumor growth. 2CIT may also have anti-cancer properties due to its ability to inhibit DNA synthesis in tumor cells.
