• Beschreibung: Cetyl gallate is an antioxidant that is a mixture of ethoxy and hydroxy cetyl alcohols. It inhibits the oxidation of lipids, proteins, and other cellular components by reactive oxygen species (ROS). Cetyl gallate has been shown to inhibit the production of ROS in cells exposed to H2O2. Cetyl gallate also binds to metals such as iron and copper ions, preventing them from catalyzing the formation of ROS. Cetyl gallate is also capable of inhibiting lipid peroxidation, which can lead to oxidative stress. This product has been shown to have genotoxic effects in cells exposed to hydrogen peroxide or malonic acid.
