Beschreibung

Calceolarioside B is a natural compound that has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis. It has potent inhibitory activity against pachymic acid, one of the main proteins found in plant cells. A molecular docking analysis revealed that Calceolarioside B binds to the ATP binding site of pachymic acid, blocking its ability to bind with RNA polymerase. In addition, Calceolarioside B inhibits transcription and translation in general due to its effects on protein synthesis. This compound also exhibited significant cytotoxicity and was shown to have a high level of toxicity profiles in food composition studies.
