Produktinformation
Trans-4-methylcyclohexanecarbonyl chloride (TCAC) is an acylhydrazines that inhibits the replication of human hepatitis B virus RNA. TCAC has been shown to inhibit the formation of viral DNA and it also exhibits antiviral activity against other viruses, such as herpes simplex virus type 2 and human immunodeficiency virus type 1. TCAC may act by inhibiting the polymerase activity of the viral reverse transcriptase, which prevents the production of DNA from RNA. TCAC is also a potent inhibitor of cellular nucleoside polymerases, including the human NS5B polymerase, which is important for viral replication. The inhibition of this enzyme leads to a decrease in synthesis of viral RNA and DNA and is responsible for TCAC's anti-viral effects.
