2,3-Dimethoxypyridine is a chemical compound that has antiviral properties. It is used in the production of microcapsules and has been shown to inhibit the growth of various viruses, such as herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), in vitro. 2,3-Dimethoxypyridine inhibits the synthesis of RNA by binding to the enzyme polymerase.
