Beschreibung

DCMX is an organic compound that is used as a preservative and disinfectant. It has been shown to have antibacterial activity against the bacterial skin pathogens Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. DCMX has also been found to be effective against fungi, yeast, and viruses. This compound is effective in reducing the number of bacteria on contaminated surfaces by binding to cell membranes and disrupting their function. DCMX has been shown to be a good alternative for preserving food that cannot be irradiated or pasteurized due to its low toxicity, environmental stability, and low cost. The use of this compound as a preservative should be limited to about 1% in order to avoid skin irritation.
