Beschreibung:Diethyl 2,6-dimethyl-4-(pentafluorophenyl)-1,4-dihydro-3,5-pyridinedicarboxylate (DMPP) is a chemical compound that induces apoptotic cell death. It binds to the ryanodine receptor and causes an increase in intracellular calcium levels. This leads to the activation of caspases, which are proteins that induce apoptosis. DMPP has been shown to induce apoptosis in animals and Caenorhabditis elegans models systems. In addition, DMPP has been found to inhibit cancer growth by binding to response element binding protein (RBP). DMPP binds RBP with high affinity and specificity and inhibits its DNA binding activity.
