Beschreibung

3-(3,5-Di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propanohydrazide is a phenolic antioxidant that has been used in coatings and lubricants. It is also used as an additive in polymers to stabilize the polymer against free radicals and radiation. This compound exhibits intermolecular hydrogen bonding with amides and thiosemicarbazides, which may account for its stabilizing effects on polymers. 3-(3,5-Di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propanohydrazide has been shown to be an effective stabilizer of polymers under high temperatures, but it does not exhibit any antioxidant properties in the presence of oxygen.
