Beschreibung

10-Deacetyl baccatine III is a novel antiretroviral drug that is active against HIV-1 and HIV-2. It is an analogue of the natural product, taxol. 10-Deacetyl baccatine III has been shown to be effective against chronic exposure to HIV and has been shown to inhibit virus replication in vitro. 10-Deacetyl baccatine III also inhibits polymerase chain reaction (PCR) activity in vitro and has been shown to inhibit viral infectivity, as well as the enzyme activities of reverse transcriptase and protease
